2012 Pool & Facilities

 FROM THE DIRECTOR 2012 Seasoon

We have assembled another fine staff to serve you again this summer.  As always, our focus is to ensure that the members and their guests have a safe and enjoyable experience during the 2011 swim season.   The new building is a tremendous upgrade to Kanawha.  We hope the members will help us to keep the new restrooms clean and neat. Please notify us in case of accidents so that we can take immediate action. The pool rules are published in this newsletter.  Please take the time to read and familiarize yourself with these rules.  Of special note:  ALL NON-SWIMMERS must be accompanied by an adult within an arms length at all times in the large pools.  This includes the shallow end of the L pool.  Non swimmers are not allowed in the lap pool or the diving well. Also, all children in the baby pool must be supervised by an adult.  The only flotation devices that children may wear in the big pools are standard wrap-around life jackets.    Please help us by throwing away your trash promptly so that it does not blow onto the deck or into the pools or attract insects.  Working together, we should have another excellent year at Kanawha.

Help KRA be BEE-Free!

Please remember to pick up all spills, especially of sweetened drinks, candy, ice cream, sweets. The sugar attracts yellow jackets who promptly return to their hive to announce their find. They dance out a road map for their hive-mates (we’re not making this up), and before you know it, KRA is swarming with bees. You can help by picking up after yourselves.
