Head Coach, Tim
We welcome Tim Dolan back for his third year as head coach for KRA. Tim has coached at Avalon Recreation Association, NOVA, and Collegiate. His swimming background includes swimming for Avalon for 10 years, Briarwood for two years and for VCU RAMS USS program for five years. Tim currently works for Henrico County Schools, teaching at Hungary Creek Middle School since 2004. He holds a BA in History from the College of Charleston and a Masters in Teaching in Social Studies from VCU. Tim headed up our pre-season clinic again this spring. He brings experience plus a bounty of enthusiasm and energy to KRA as our head coach. Email: tdolan@krafun.org
Assistant Coaches
Bill Lacey returns for his eighth year as an assistant coach. He coached the Tuckahoe YMCA Tiger Sharks for many years. Bill is a Certified Red Cross Lifeguard and Swim Instructor, and currently teaches lessons at the YMCA. He has headed up and assisted our preseason clinic for several years. Bill has a busy engineering consulting business, as well. Email: blacy@krafun.org
Annie Smith returns for her fifth season as assistant coach. She is 
in her fifth year at James Madison University where she is pursuing a Master’s in Elementary Education. She was a KRA swimmer for thirteen years and swam with NOVA for six years. She was a NOVA swim instructor and YMCA counselor. Annie will be the Assistant Head coach as well as our pre-team Head Coach this season. Email: asmith@krafun.org
We welcome back Lindsey Stevenson as an assistant coach this year. She was an assistant coach for us in 2010 and we are excited that she will be returning. Before joining KRA, she was an assistant coach at Avalon for three years. She also taught swimming at NOVA and swam for them from 1996 – 2007. Lindsey is in her fifth year at JMU pursuing a Master’s in Elementary Education.
Welcome Mary-Patrick Bailey as an assistant coach. Mary-Patrick is a sophomore at University of Mary Washington and swims on their Varsity Swim Team. She was an assistant coach at Lakeside in 2011 and a Mite coach 2008 – 2010. She was also a swim instructor for Burkwood from 2006 – 2010. Mary-Patrick swam for Burkwood prior to going to Mary Washington.
